Job Summary
Business Development Coordinator (Madagascar) drives and coordinates institutional funding and business development at country level, ensuring the Country Team is donor-ready and engaged in securing institutional resources aligned with CBM Global’s mission. Embedded within the Country Team, the role leads proactive pipeline development, donor engagement, and high-quality proposal coordination, supporting sustainable institutional income growth. The position reports to the Country Director Madagascar and works with a team of 6, with no direct reports. Location: Antananarivo, Madagascar. Contract: 2-year fixed term with renewal; Hours: Full-time (40 hours). Requires Master’s degree or equivalent, and 7+ years in relevant fundraising/proposal development. Key responsibilities include country-level BD leadership, donor intelligence and engagement, proposal and consortium development, internal coordination, and systems/knowledge management. The candidate should be fluent in English and French, with disability inclusion experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in institutional fundraising, business development, or programme development in the international development or humanitarian sector
- Demonstrated experience in developing and submitting successful funding proposals to institutional donors
- Strong understanding of donor environments, funding mechanisms, and consortium-based approaches
- Experience in developing country level funding strategies and donor engagement plans
- Experience working closely with programme teams and in-country partners
- Experience with federated organisations and relevant donors (preferred)
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent command of English and French
