Job Summary
Business Development/Capture Manager responsible for shaping and driving strategic growth with the Department of War. Focused on identifying, qualifying, and advancing new opportunities aligned to Saalex capabilities, building and maintaining a qualified pipeline, providing capture support, and coordinating with proposal, contracts, and finance teams. Role emphasizes opportunities in Test Range Operations and Maintenance, Wargaming, Software Development & Engineering, AI Software Modernization, AI/URPA, and IT & Cybersecurity, with collaboration across government and industry stakeholders and occasional travel up to 50% to DoW customer sites, conferences, and events. Includes CRM management, market research, competitive intelligence, and participation in color team reviews and industry events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in business development, capture management, or proposal development
- Strong understanding of DoW acquisition lifecycle, FAR/DFARS, and major contract vehicles (e.g., GSA OASIS, IDIQs, MACs)
- Experience supporting DoW agencies (Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Marines)
- Proven ability to support or lead pursuits exceeding $30M
- Proficiency with CRM tools
- Experience with DoW cybersecurity/compliance requirements (e.g., CMMC, NIST SP 800-171)
- Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
