Job Summary
Lead, direct, and oversee business development and marketing for the Civil Group, coordinating with the Director of Communications. Research, analyze, identify, and prioritize grading and paving opportunities; lead pursuit strategy development, qualification statements, proposals and interviews; coordinate with estimating, operations, and leadership to position the group for successful project awards. Build relationships with owners, engineers, developers, subcontractors, and industry partners; manage data, CRM tracking, and pursuit planning; develop messaging and strategy for proposals and targeted marketing collateral. Requires a Bachelor's degree and related training/experience, ability to travel as needed, and proficiency with CRM systems, Procore, Bluebeam, and construction-market knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Managed full lifecycle of construction projects or equivalent experience
- Experience in business development and pursuit strategy in construction
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with owners, engineers, developers, subcontractors
- Strong proposal development, RFP/RFQ experience, and client presentations
- Knowledge of market conditions and trends in grading and paving
- Experience with CRM systems and tracking pipelines
- Proficiency with construction technology/tools (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Proven ability to coordinate with estimating, operations, and leadership to win project awards
- Valid NC Driver License and willingness to travel as needed
