Job Summary
The Business Development Associate leads outreach and relationship-building to identify and admit potential residents/guests to the Health Center. Responsibilities include planning and executing sales and occupancy strategies under the marketing plan, developing hospital and physician relationships to facilitate transitions of care, supporting admissions processes (including EMR and admission duties), and coordinating marketing outreach with community groups and local businesses. The role requires managing communications with prospective residents, families, and influencers (physician, attorney, trust officer, etc.) to secure timely commitments, and tracking market data to inform annual plans and events. The position emphasizes adherence to FHA/ADA regulations and effective, professional interaction with residents, families, and healthcare partners, while supporting overall census growth and admissions goals.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a sales/admissions position within a skilled nursing, home health, or assisted living environment
- solutions-driven problem solver with working knowledge of health care insurance including Medicare and Long-Term Care insurance
- comfortable with marketing presentations and have proven skills with community outreach programs
- familiar with and able to adhere to Fair Housing Act (FHA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations in all aspects of the job including sales presentations and marketing materials
- pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility
