Job Summary
Business Development Associate responsible for cultivating local relationships with investors, borrowers, and real estate professionals in private money lending. Requires strong communication, real estate financing knowledge, field/territory work in FL, AZ, TX, or DC, and the ability to identify and convert lending opportunities. Duties include daily client outreach, site visits, refining sales sourcing strategies, identifying potential borrowers and brokers, relationship-building with industry professionals, loan origination and underwriting of hard money loans, market research, ensuring regulatory compliance, negotiating terms, CRM reporting, and collaborating with underwriting, processing, and legal teams. Desirable skills include finance/business/economics acumen, hard money lending knowledge, closing and negotiation prowess, financial analysis, market awareness, CRM proficiency (Salesforce), and strategic communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business or economics preferred
- Knowledge of hard money lending and practices, regulations and industry trends a plus
- Strong sales closing and negotiation skills
- Solid understanding of financial analysis, credit evaluation, and risk assessment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze potential lending opportunities and assess risk
- Stay updated on market conditions, real estate trends, and competition
- Knowledge of lending regulations and ensure all transactions are compliant
- Proficiency in using CRM platforms such as Salesforce
- Strong ethical standards and integrity
