Job Summary
Prospect, qualify, and present partnership packages to local businesses, then negotiate and close sales for memberships and sponsorship opportunities. Build rapport with decision-makers to understand their needs, manage existing partner relationships, and renew commitments. Participate in community events to connect with potential clients and track all sales activity within the CRM system. Requires two years of sales experience, ability to work evenings and weekends, and a Bachelor's degree.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of two years demonstrated experience (e.g., internships, previous roles) in sales development from initial discovery to closing the sale
- Ability to work some evenings and some weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is preferred
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with small to medium sized businesses
- Strong sales acumen and closing ability
- Proficient in networking and relationship building skills
- Knowledge of the local business landscape and community
- Ability to develop and tailor sales presentations to individual business needs
- Must be able to work collaboratively within a team-driven environment
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
