Job Summary
Conduct client calls alongside the Business Development Manager, taking detailed notes on creative goals, budgets, and technical requirements. Translate inbound inquiries into standardized formats for estimating and coordinate with Production and Technical Design teams to gather pricing and feasibility data. Prepare estimates, proposal documents, and presentation materials while maintaining accurate pipeline records and CRM data for forecasting. Independently manage a portfolio of smaller accounts, handling client communication and proposal development from initial inquiry through contract award. Represent the company at client meetings as needed. This role serves as a development path into Business Development or Account Management, offering direct mentorship to build technical and commercial skills.
Required Qualifications
- Background in carpentry, fabrication, or scenic construction
- Comfortable working with budgets, estimates, and numerical information
- Ability to adapt to fabrication projects of varying size and complexity
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Comfort talking with clients
- Ability to engage in early or unstructured conversations
- Organized
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Interest in moving from production/field work into an office-based, client-facing role
- Strong written communication skills
