Job Summary
Business Development Associate focused on supporting FMPS across commercial, logistics, and customer engagement functions. Responsible for preparing quotations and proposals, maintaining lead and sales records, updating CRM and sales-tracking systems, generating regular activity and performance reports, and coordinating cross-functionally with dispatch, operations, finance, and port agency teams. You will handle customer inquiries, schedule site visits and vessel meetings, communicate order details to relevant teams, and represent FMPS at events and public engagement activities. The role emphasizes strong communication, public-speaking, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple service lines (maritime logistics, port agency, trucking, warehousing, and customs brokerage) with professionalism and a customer-focused mindset.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Associate’s Degree preferred
- 1–2 years of administrative, clerical, or customer service experience
- Strong verbal communication and public-speaking skills
- Excellent written communication and document preparation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to learn CRM and sales tracking systems quickly
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional, customer-focused attitude
