Business Development Associate

Job Summary
Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients while identifying new business opportunities through market research and lead generation. Qualify leads, respond to inbound enquiries, and convert interest into sales opportunities by preparing proposals, presentations, and contracts. Conduct outreach via phone, email, and virtual meetings to engage prospects, manage customer information in the CRM system, and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities. Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Consulting teams to deliver tailored solutions, monitor market trends, and track sales performance metrics. Attend industry events to build networks and support business development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in inside sales, telesales, or customer service, ideally within the technology, supply chain, or professional services sectors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and the Microsoft Office Suite for data management and reporting
- Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the IT industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge or experience in supply chain management, logistics, or business spend management is highly advantageous
- Knowledge in and experience with our partners IT systems
