Job Summary
Prospect and develop new business with retail florists via phone, Skype, and in-person meetings to introduce Flowerbuyer.com products and secure ongoing usage. Build long-lasting relationships to save florists money on fresh cut floral needs while establishing high-level rapport and trust. Execute sales presentations that resonate with retail florists to meet daily time-on-telephone selling expectations and sales targets. Work with internal departments to provide custom solutions for top accounts with significant volume potential. Prepare reports for Inside Sales management and utilize order entry, call tracking, and contact management software. Participate in required sales, product, and process training. This role is hourly plus commission and can be remote.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience in a sales role focused on prospecting and developing new business
- PC literacy: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Skype
- Must display a strong desire to achieve and maintain high levels of both internal and external customer satisfaction
- Hardworking, creative, open-minded, and driven demeanor with a 'can do attitude'
- Proven track record of entering a new industry and building a book of business
- Ability to close and manage relationships -- both in person and over phone
- Successful track record of new lead generation and ability to overcome customer objections
- Customer-obsessed mindset
- Strong time management, communication, and execution skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
