Job Summary
Outside sales-focused Business Development Associate responsible for developing relationships with clients, creating proposal opportunities, and supporting proposal development and data management using a CRM. Key duties include selling services to clients, generating contract opportunities through lead generation sources, maintaining market visibility through industry participation, aligning market pursuits with office strategy, building a diverse client base across service lines and industries, pursuing project leads from sources like FW Dodge, Construction Journal, and Onvia, and maintaining weekly activity reports. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in or related to the AEC field, strong communication skills, self-motivation, organization, and willingness to travel primarily in the Florida Panhandle region.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate / Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business or a closely related field
- 2+ years’ experience in the Architectural, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry OR BS in Civil Engineering in lieu of experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, driven, and organized with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test and have an acceptable driving record
- Travel primarily in the FL Panhandle region with potential travel within southeastern states
