Job Summary
Build and maintain relationships with municipal officials, utility providers, and engineering firms to drive growth within planned community markets. Develop and execute market strategies to increase share, then identify and pursue infrastructure and public works projects through existing sales channels. Lead major project pursuits by collaborating with internal teams to create winning strategies and manage opportunities from early development through contract award. Procure and review RFQs, RFPs, and bid documents while coordinating proposals, pricing, and supporting documentation. Represent the company at industry conferences and trade shows, then maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure successful project execution. Analyze project outcomes to improve future win rates and monitor market trends that impact growth opportunities. Approximately 30% overnight travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Strong business development, sales, or relationship management experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to build credibility and influence decision-makers at multiple levels
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple projects and pursuits simultaneously
- 5-10 years of related business development, community engagement, sales, municipal, utility, infrastructure, or industry experience
- Approximately 30% overnight travel
