Job Summary
Lead end-to-end development of major opportunities in South Africa across energy, water, and infrastructure sectors. Identify, qualify, and pursue strategic opportunities; build long-term client partnerships with utilities, government entities, financial institutions, and developers; develop value propositions and solution positioning; coordinate with technical, commercial, and regional teams to align capabilities with client needs; oversee win strategies, pricing and risk positioning, and the preparation of high-quality commercial proposals and bids; manage large, complex pursuits (Cathedral opportunities) from early positioning to contract award; represent Tractebel at industry forums and client events; strengthen brand presence in the South African and regional market; contribute to marketing materials, sector insights and thought leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Infrastructure, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on business development, project development, or commercial roles
- Proven track record of winning and delivering complex projects or consulting assignments
- Strong experience in energy, water, or infrastructure sectors
- Experience working in South Africa and/or broader African markets
