Business Controls Function (BCF) Automation Manager

Job Summary
Execute control automation roadmaps aligned with transformation initiatives and SOX requirements, enabling continuous monitoring via analytics and rule-based testing across high-risk processes. Manage multiple priorities to drive simplification of finance processes, reduce control complexity, and ensure automation solutions maintain audit-ready documentation for internal and external audits. Partner with IT to enable control-relevant system features and provide training and technical guidance to the BCF team on automations and associated process changes. Articulate material risks and design contingency plans while measuring outcomes through reduced manual effort and cost savings. Based in BMS's Hyderabad Location with 50% in-person presence, this role requires 7-9 years of experience in pharmaceutical compliance and controls.

- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of key accounting processes and systems
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Experience with process improvement (including process automation) and improvement frameworks (e.g., Agile, Lean)
- Proven track record of successfully implementing automations and continuous improvement plans

- Familiarity with Workiva
- Must be available for 50% in-person presence at the BMS's Hyderabad Location
- Master's degree or CA / CPA
- Compliance and controls experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- Public accounting experience
- Familiarity with SAP and SAP related applications such as SAP Datasphere and SAP analytic cloud
