Job Summary
Finance Graduate Program role within Volvo Group's VPNA: a 12-month Business Controller track that provides end-to-end exposure to the Finance function, rotations across business lines, and a permanent role from day one. Responsibilities include connecting financial insights to business decisions, preparing management and financial reports, analyzing trends and variances, supporting monthly closing and reporting, identifying automation opportunities, and collaborating with local/global finance teams. The program emphasizes data-driven analysis, process improvement, and the use of digital tools (e.g., Excel-based models, Power BI, Tableau) to enhance finance control. The position is on-site in Chesapeake, VA, with potential international short-term assignments and travel.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration or a relevant/related curriculum
- Maximum 2 years of full-time work experience prior to, or after graduation (internships are considered work experience)
- Some practical exposure to financial reporting or accounting through internships, student projects, or entry-level roles
- Working experience in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, advanced formulas)
- Data visualization tools highly desirable (Power BI, Tableau)
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English is critical
