Job Summary
Business Consultant in Charlotte, NC focused on identifying and cultivating new business opportunities via networking, channel partners, and self-generated leads. Executes aggressive prospecting to access key decision makers, owns the full sales cycle including post-sale and implementation, negotiates pricing and scope of service, completes required sales paperwork, and finalizes client service agreements. Maintains an accurate sales pipeline and forecasts, and consistently meets monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas. Practices proactive industry knowledge, analyzes client needs, develops tailored product/service solutions, and coordinates with cross-functional teams. Regular domestic travel to client sites, team meetings, events, and conferences is expected. Uses CRM (Salesforce) to track activities, prepares executive summaries for client presentations, and participates in monthly consulting meetings with coaching for team members. Requires strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to balance multiple clients and tasks in a dynamic environment. This role emphasizes confidentiality, professional conduct, and adherence to corporate policies, while supporting ongoing training and development and aligning with business ethics and strategic goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of experience, skills, education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training programs) preferred
- At least two years' sales experience preferred
- Previous experience and proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to learn other applications as needed
- Valid, non-restrictive driver's license as it involves regular travel to client sites and company locations
