Job Summary
Deliver 56 hours of Instructor-led Macroeconomics classes per term across three-hour blocks within the 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM schedule. Manage multiple tasks and priorities while teaching culturally diverse young adult learners in a multicultural collaborative team setting. Submit a resume and cover letter detailing available term dates and preferred hours. VanWest College is a privately owned Canadian college certified by the BC government Ministry of Advanced Education, offering programs designed to improve students' communication skills and refine job-search and employability skills.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant industry or teaching experience of two years
- Certification in Macroeconomics (or MBA) or in other relevant disciplines OR relevant industry experience of ten years
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal)
- Proficient organizational skills
- Able to work independently and in a multicultural collaborative team setting
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Available and interested in instructing Macroeconomics
- Available for 8-week terms
- Available for 3-hour blocks (Monday--Friday) within the overall schedule of 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM
- Available for Block A: 3:00pm to 5:45pm M,W, (alternate Fridays)
- Available for Block B: M, W at 6:00pm to 9:30pm
- Available for Block C: 3:00pm to 5:45pm T,TH, (alternate Fridays)
- Available for Block D: T, Th at 6:00pm to 9:30pm
