Job Summary
Manage an assigned portfolio of small business banking relationships in the New York City area, including loan and deposit relationships. Develop new business with business prospects, service existing business banking clients, and cross-sell bank products. Collaborate with branch partners to maximize sales, network with accountants/attorneys and other referral sources, evaluate credit information to structure loans, negotiate with underwriters, and achieve sales targets such as loan production, deposit balances, and revenue. Requires strong credit analysis, cash-management/product knowledge, and interpersonal/presentation skills; typically requires a bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong credit skills and ability to read/analyze financial statements and tax returns
- Knowledge of Cash Management, Merchant Services, Trade Services products for Business Banking customers
- Ability to sell effectively to prospects and clients; strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Experience with loan production and deposit growth targets
- Ability to negotiate with underwriters and clients to optimize revenue and minimize risk
- 5+ years of relevant experience in senior relationship management or equivalent
- Self-directed with ability to work under moderate supervision
- Location: New York, NY; emphasis on NYC business banking market
