Job Summary
The Business Banking Relationship Manager (AVP) proactively sources, acquires, expands, and retains customer relationships across an assigned area, leveraging SME knowledge of Deposit, Credit, and Cash Management products. Responsibilities include leading cross-branch sales efforts, collaborating with Wealth Management, Mortgage, and segment peers, managing a high-value client book to grow balance and revenue, handling credit requests up to $250K (and higher with Sr. bankers), developing integrated sales plans, maintaining KPIs/scorecards, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance, and coordinating with credit/risk teams to close loans. Requires 5-8 years of experience (banking/business banking preferred), strong consulting and analytical skills, mortgage-licensing registration with NMLS, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
- 5-8 years of experience, preferably 2-5 years banking experience or 2-3 years in Business Banking
- Exceptional consulting skills; ability to probe, listen, clarify and present information to advance sales transactions
- Demonstrate analytical skills and ability to assimilate complex financial and company operating information
- Professional presentation skills
- Strong working knowledge of credit structuring and processing; credit trained preferred
- Highly effective communication and influence skills

- This position requires the employee to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (Registry) and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry before engaging in mortgage loan originator activities
