Job Summary
Business Banking Consultant responsible for handling inbound inquiries from small business customers, performing follow-up outbound calls, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring compliance while collaborating across channels to meet customer needs. The role supports the Small Business Contact Centre in Heritage Lanes, Brisbane, with emphasis on customer service, banking procedures, and risk management. Key skills include communication, problem solving, negotiation, teamwork, and a customer-centric approach. The position is permanent and full-time, with remote-work options available to support flexible arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Banking customer service/sales experience (not mandatory)
- Experience in a contact centre environment or an operational/support role preferred
- High level computer literacy and navigation skills
- Experience in delivering high quality customer experience within required timeframes
- Demonstrated ability to use customer and commercial acumen to enhance overall performance across people, customer, and risk measures
- Good problem solving and negotiation skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to work as a supportive team member
- Committed to self-development and opportunities to increase capability in role
- Computer literacy and navigation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work within a compliance environment
