Job Summary
Senior Business Banking Consultant focused on underserved communities and economic opportunity. Build and leverage networks with community organizations, CDFIs, nonprofits, and chambers to expand business banking relationships. Lead business development efforts, collaborate across Chase lines (Wealth Management, Home Lending, Branches, Merchant and Card Services), and provide customized financial solutions, education, and advisory services to improve client outcomes and portfolio profitability. Responsibilities include cultivating long-term relationships, utilizing internal resources (Chase Foundation), maintaining active community involvement, advising clients on banking solutions, and proactively identifying opportunities while managing risk. Requires strong relationship management, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate client needs into tailored financial solutions across lines of business.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business banking relationship management role or related business / commercial lending experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong relationship management skills; demonstrate strong tactical business development and negotiation skills
- Demonstrate seasoned judgment to offer comprehensive and customized solutions that best meet client needs; monitors and researches market/industry trends and business outcomes to anticipate client needs and present proactive solutions
- Able to identify opportunities, issues, and viable alternatives, while managing risk, when traditional solutions do not apply
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business banking relationship management or related business / commercial lending experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong relationship management skills
- Tactical business development and negotiation skills
- Ability to identify opportunities, issues, and viable alternatives while managing risk
- Experience in credit underwriting or underwriting training (preferred)
- Experience owning / operating a small business (preferred)
