Job Summary
Serves as primary contact with assigned customers focusing on retention and growth in profitability. Identifies business needs and corresponding sales opportunities bank-wide, actively promoting Deposit Products, Cash Management, Capital Markets, and Loan Products. Develops new business banking relationships by conducting interviews to understand current and prospective needs, including visiting applicants at their places of business. Obtains financial statements and tax returns to ensure maintenance of electronic credit files, conducting analysis of pertinent credit information. Works closely with the credit group on all new credit requests and renewals, ensuring relevant information is available to the portfolio manager. Manages existing portfolio, staying informed on market trends that may impact credit quality, and partners with the branch network to drive customer engagement across all product lines. Maintains assigned annual goals for portfolio growth and new business development.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3+ years of experience with business development
- Must possess experience in commercial or business banking
- Must possess general knowledge of lending laws and regulations
- Credit experience
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must possess the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must possess the ability to spend extended periods sitting or standing
- Must possess the ability to use hands to operate computers or other equipment
- Must possess the ability to reach for work-related tasks
- Must possess the ability to walk regularly
- Must possess the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, or climb occasionally
- Must possess the ability to lift or move items weighing up to 10 pounds
