Job Summary
Lead in the planning, design, development, project management, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing systems. Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements, system goals, and resolve application issues. Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems while reviewing and analyzing existing system effectiveness to develop improvement strategies. Research, review, recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades, including cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems. Provide orientation and training to end users for modified and new systems, maintain clear documentation of all activities, and assist in developing policies, procedures, and user materials. Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment while seeking opportunities to support agency operations and further knowledge through educational opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- Experience in the design, development, and/or implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems, business administration, or a healthcare field
- 5-15 years (based on education requirements) recent IT experience in the design, development, and/or implementation and support of software and hardware solutions, systems or products
- Employee should be competent in position within 90-days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Masters' or Bachelors' degree
- Experience with Business Applications or other related disciplines accompanied with strong computer skills
- Prior Epic, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Forms on Demand experience for business related roles
- Experience pertinent to the subject area being considered (for non-clinical related roles)
