Job Summary

Lead trade compliance and trade system analysis for assigned projects, assessing regulatory impact and defining scope from a Trade Compliance and Trade Technology Enablement perspective. Translate regulatory, business, and operational requirements into clear functional requirements, user stories, and solution design inputs that guide system implementation. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Trade Compliance, IT, and business teams to design end-to-end solutions that balance compliance requirements with operational efficiency. Own the planning and execution of trade-related deliverables across all project phases, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes in alignment with overall project plans. Define and document end-to-end processes, compliance control points, and system requirements, ensuring alignment with export control regulations and internal policies. Develop test scenarios and test cases, execute user acceptance testing (UAT), document results, and drive resolution of defects in collaboration with project teams and Trade Compliance Operations. Support coordination of trade-related testing activities when needed, partnering with project managers or business leads to ensure alignment, readiness, and timely execution. Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate trade compliance and system-related risks, escalating issues as needed and driving them through resolution. Engage subject matter experts and operational teams to validate requirements, refine solutions, and ensure readiness for deployment and sustainment. Maintain accurate and timely project documentation and status updates in project tracking systems, ensuring visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies. Continuously identify and drive opportunities to streamline processes, improve system enablement, and support transformation initiatives within Trade Compliance and Trade Technology Enablement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in business analysis, trade compliance, or related roles within a global or cross-functional environment
  • Proven experience translating business and regulatory requirements into functional requirements, user stories, and solution design inputs
  • Strong understanding of business processes and ability to assess the impact of regulatory requirements on operations and systems
  • Experience working with enterprise systems and collaborating with IT teams to enable business solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage workstreams within projects, including planning, execution, and delivery of assigned scope
  • Experience identifying and mitigating risks in complex or regulated environments
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing test scenarios and test cases, including documenting results and driving issue resolution
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, practical guidance for stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of trade compliance concepts and their application in business processes and systems
  • Preferred: Experience with SAP GTS or SAP GTS E4H
  • Awareness of export controls and classification concepts (e.g., export compliance screening, HTS, ECCN)
  • Experience supporting system implementations or transformations
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies
  • Experience leveraging AI or digital tools to improve research, analysis, and productivity while applying sound judgment and validation
