Job Summary
Gather and document technical and business requirements for web-based software projects within the software development lifecycle. Bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions by writing basic SQL queries and creating diagrams using UML, BPMN, and use case tools. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and negotiations to elicit accurate information from stakeholders at all levels while maintaining clear, unambiguous documentation. Manage requirements using Jira and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience working on web-based software projects
- Demonstrable experience gathering and documenting technical and business requirements
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP concepts)
- Basic understanding of database concepts, particularly relational databases like MariaDB/MySQL, and ability to write basic SQL queries
- Experience with diagramming tools (e.g., UML, BPMN for process flows, use case diagrams)
- Proficiency with requirement management tools (e.g., Jira)
- Understanding of API concepts and how web services interact
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent documentation skills, producing clear and unambiguous requirements
- Active listening skills to elicit accurate information
- Ability to facilitate workshops and meetings
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
