Job Summary
Senior Business Process Analyst for a 100% U.S.-based remote position supporting VA-related projects. Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams, collaborate with business users, IT, and leadership to elaborate and document requirements in ALM tools (JIRA), manage requirements across the SAFe/Agile lifecycle, conduct user interviews, develop business process models and formal specifications, and lead backlog refinement. Elaboration of user stories, decomposition into backlog items, define acceptance criteria, and ensure traceability among requirements, test cases, and risks. Coordinate with Systems Engineers, facilitate change control, write project documents, and provide status metrics. Mentor junior analysts, establish SME relationships, support Scrum events, and remove impediments to enable successful Sprints. Requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience conveying complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Public Trust (MBI) security clearance or ability to obtain
- 10 years of professional experience
- Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies
- Experience with JIRA
- Experience in large Agile software development or data integration projects
- Formal Education Master’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline
- Healthcare billing and claims processing application knowledge
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
- VA or Federal Health Agency experience (preferred)
