Job Summary
Senior Business Process Analyst for a remote, US-based role with Syms Strategic Group. Lead the capture and management of software requirements for a federal VA-related program, collaborating with business users, IT, and leadership to elaborate and document requirements in ALM tools (JIRA). Manage requirements, perform Agile requirement activities for product teams, develop business process models and formal specifications, conduct user interviews, facilitate sessions, and document business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements. Perform backlog refinement, write and deliver project documents, identify risks, maintain change control, and act as a product SME. Proficient in SAFe/Agile methodologies, strong communication, and experience with JIRA; master’s degree in engineering or related field; U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Public Trust security clearance; 10+ years of professional experience preferred. Must be able to work remotely from the United States; location includes Detroit, MI for contextual labeling.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a strong background in software development and Agile/Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Past experience conducting independent research
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Experience with JIRA tools
- Experience in large, Agile software development or data integration projects
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related scientific/technical discipline
- U.S. Citizenship required for this opportunity
- Security clearance: Must possess or qualify for Public Trust (MBI)
- Experience working in a Federal Health Agency (VA, DHA, HHS, etc.)
- Healthcare billing and claims processing application knowledge
- Professional Certifications: None required
- Years of Professional Experience: 10 years (10+ substitution for education)
- Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required
- Working knowledge of VA’s Veterans Independence Program (VIP)
- VA SQA Testing experience
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
