Job Summary
Lead business and system analysis for a large-scale data modernization initiative, focusing on report development, data migration, and enabling advanced analytics within a modern data warehouse or lakehouse environment. Define reporting MVPs, document legacy reports, conduct gap analyses, and translate business needs into functional and technical requirements. Gather user stories using DevOps tools, perform business modeling, process analysis, and data flow modeling to support long-term solution sustainability. Support data migration activities by identifying quality issues and performing reconciliation, while developing KPIs to track progress. Provide ongoing post-migration support, optimize data processes, and ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards. Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT teams to define requirements, ensure data quality, and deliver high-impact reporting solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in business and system analysis
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Strong experience in data warehousing, data lakes, or business intelligence/reporting solutions
- Experience with large-scale data migration projects
- Proven experience writing user stories and using DevOps tools
Desired Qualifications
- Experience aligning analysis deliverables with public sector or enterprise standards
- Expertise in business modeling, data modeling, and process analysis
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Working knowledge of SQL and ETL processes
- Experience with Dynamics 365 or other CRM/ERP systems
- Strong background in testing, QA processes, and defect management
- Understanding of data quality, cleansing, and validation practices
- Experience collaborating across technical and business teams
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
