Job Summary
Business Analyst / Scrum Master facilitates Agile Scrum processes and serves as liaison between CMS stakeholders and technical teams. Responsibilities include SAFe ceremonies (Program Increment Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives), coaching teams on Agile/SAFe, removing impediments, tracking sprint metrics, and ensuring alignment with project goals. Also performs business analysis: eliciting/documenting requirements, developing user stories and acceptance criteria, refining backlog, translating CMS program integrity needs into API/data requirements, supporting AI/GenAI use cases, defining API gateway capabilities, governance/compliance with HIPAA/NIST, and collaborating with architects and engineers on data flows and APIs. Stakeholder engagement, workshops, and solution walkthroughs, plus governance and audit readiness. Required education and experience emphasize a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in Scrum Master/BA roles, with strong communication and facilitation skills. Preferred qualifications include federal/healthcare IT experience, MuleSoft/Kafka experience, and Scrum Master certifications. Residency requires US citizenship or Green Card for Public Trust clearance with three of the last five years in the US. Salary disclosed as a range based on multiple factors; remote working options are available. Location hint: Columbia, MD (Hybrid). Location context indicates US-based hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
- 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Business Analyst, or hybrid role
