Job Summary
Business Analyst role within Cubist Business Management focusing on onboarding and supporting systematic trading teams and strategy deployments. Responsibilities include complete project lifecycle management for launching new PM teams into production, designing PM research and trading solutions aligned with firm standards, educating PM teams on operating procedures and technology integration, leading new strategy rollout projects across Technology, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Risk, and providing day-to-day support for broker data management, compliance monitoring, trading, and business continuity. Candidates should have a technical background, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn day-to-day trading and finance operations, with familiarity or aptitude for global market structure, electronic trading systems, and market data sources.
Required Qualifications
- BS in finance, statistics, math, and engineering or computer science (preferred).
- 2 years of relevant work experience (a plus).
- Ability to assist veteran specialists while managing multiple projects independently under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and team attitude.
- Ability to document technical specifications and explain concepts non-technically.
- Working experience in Python and SQL.
- Linux/Unix scripting (Perl, bash, etc.) a plus.
- Experience with database design is a plus.
- Experience with market regulations in trading areas is preferred but not required.
