Business Analyst

Job Summary
Business Analyst to coordinate design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of corporate applications systems. Responsible for creating BRDs and translating them into functional specs; analyzing business operations, extracting data from multiple databases, and supporting integrations, testing (including UAT and functionality testing), and helpdesk/IT request monitoring. Requires SDLC understanding, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to work independently or in a team. Prior experience with Excel, Visio, and MS Project is preferred; Six Sigma/ITIL is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area (Computer Science, Computer Information Services or Software Engineering) or equivalent industry experience
- Six Sigma and/or ITIL a plus
- Minimum 3+ years of experience working as a Data or Business Analyst
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel, Visio and MS Project
- Project management experience a plus
- Understands the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Highly analytical with solid problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and presentation skills
- Genuine interest and a desire to learn new technologies
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
- Completes all responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet co-worker and client needs and remain cost effective
