Business Analyst (Maternity Cover)

Job Summary
Business Analyst (Maternity Cover) to identify and analyse business requirements and translate them into functional backlog items for Ultimo. Works with a multidisciplinary development team (6-8 people) following Scrum, translates customer and internal requirements into backlog items in Jira, and collaborates with the Product Owner to steer backlog direction. Responsibilities include giving demonstrations, collecting requirements during customer panel sessions, answering functional questions for the development team, refining user stories to ready backlog items, sharing knowledge with colleagues and channel partners, and handling intake of R&D cases to prepare items for development. The role requires looking ahead to prepare for upcoming projects, juggling multiple tasks, and coordinating with stakeholders both inside and outside Product Development. The position is a maternity cover from August 1st, 2026 to July 30th, 2027, with a preference for HBO level education, a Diploma in related fields, at least two years of Ultimo experience, AI in BI processes experience, and strong English proficiency (Dutch a plus). The role is based in Nunspeet, Gelderland, NL, with a hybrid remote option.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable Higher Professional Education (HBO) level or equivalent
- Diploma in Technical Computer Science or Business Information Systems (or comparable)
- At least two years of Ultimo experience
- Experience with software for supporting processes
- Experience with using AI in Business Analysis processes
- Affinity with business processes
- Good command of the English language (Dutch is a plus)
