Job Summary
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the University's spend by collecting, organizing, and analyzing transactional data from multiple systems. Create an organizational spend map, categorize transactions, and summarize analysis into reports to communicate results to key internal stakeholders. Contribute to supplier rationalization decisions and support Procurement staff with ad-hoc spend analysis while actively pursuing automation of data processing. Maintain a strong technical understanding of procurement systems and pursue professional development. Full-time onsite role in Lynchburg, Va., with a salary range of $55,000.00 - $60,000.00. Requires a Bachelor's degree in business and two-to-four years of experience in accounting and financial analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science degree with a concentration in business
- Two-to-four years' professional experience in accounting and financial analysis
- International Institution of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification or equivalent in Business Analytics
- Experience with databases and large datasets and its application to business strategy
- Well-developed reasoning, communication, and customer service skills
- Working knowledge of procurement and source-to-pay software systems
- Ability to articulate and defend the unique Christian educational mission and vision of Liberty University and its subsidiaries to a wide variety of individuals and groups
- Individual must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan
- Individual must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, or be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds
- To obtain LU-approved driver certification, individuals must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver's license with a minimum of five (5) years of documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner
- Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business, government and community customers and associates
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information
- Excellent computer skills including detailed knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature
- Occasionally required to travel to locations throughout Virginia and occasionally out of state
- Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Masters of Business Administration or Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Lean or Six Sigma experience
- Certified Management Accountant
- Fluency in Spanish or American Sign Language
