Job Summary
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, processes, and systems, then analyze and document detailed business rules and functional specifications. Facilitate workshops to gather needs, translate them into actionable software requirements for developers, and prioritize based on business value. Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, developing user stories, use cases, data flow diagrams, and wireframes to assist design and development. Support the QA team with test plans, validate results, conduct user acceptance testing, and participate in Agile/Scrum processes including sprint planning and retrospectives. Assist with change management and user adoption while ensuring developed software meets business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a custom software development environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing abilities
- Familiarity with business analysis tools for requirements management, process modeling, and wireframing (e.g., JIRA, Balsamiq, Lucidchart)
- Understanding of databases, SQL, and other query languages
- Knowledge of user experience design and user testing principles
- Availability to work flexible hours when necessary to accommodate international clients or teams
- MBA/B.E./M.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/BCA/MCA/B.Sc (Computer Science) / M.Sc(Computer Science)
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (PMI Professional in Business Analysis)
- Experience with CRM, ERP, or other large integrated systems
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management principles
