Job Summary
Business Analyst for Industrial Insurance Underwriting responsible for analyzing business requirements, underwriting processes, and AI-enabled initiatives; collaborating with stakeholders to structure problems, validate opportunities, assess AI integration feasibility, and embed AI capabilities into the Underwriting Workbench. Develop and manage IT-specific requirements, maintain process descriptions, co-own backlog refinement with the Product Owner, and facilitate workshops to align cross-functional teams across international underwriting processes. Support testing, usability, and requirement quality to ensure a seamless experience for underwriters. Emphasizes flexible/hybrid work, remote/mobile options up to 60% and ongoing training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Completed studies in economics, business informatics, business administration, insurance management or a comparable field
- Extensive hands-on experience in business analysis and requirements engineering (e.g., Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, Systems Analyst or Consultant)
- Experience in the insurance industry, preferably in industrial insurance and underwriting-related environments
- Solid technical understanding in non-coding contexts (APIs, interface logic, data modeling, validation rules, modern software architecture)
- Good understanding of modern software delivery (cloud/API-based integrations, development/deployment processes)
- Experience or strong interest in applying AI technologies in business analysis, process automation or decision support
- Experience in systematic software testing and in defining high-quality requirements and acceptance criteria
- Strong analytical, communication and moderation skills; ability to manage diverse stakeholders
- Agile mindset, teamwork, and proficient English skills (C1)
