Job Summary
Business Analyst role supporting Mariner Innovations with a focus on client-based projects and delivery in Atlantic Canada. Responsibilities include defining configuration specifications and business analysis requirements, documenting current and future state processes, preparing Business Requirements Documents (functional/non-functional), developing test plans and test cases, defining reporting and alerting requirements, preparing integration plans for system changes, designing and maintaining system processes, leading change and support processes for new technology delivery, and facilitating stakeholder sessions to identify process and systems improvements. Strong emphasis on communicating insights to client teams and collaborating with delivery and sales to enable growth and project success.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business, computer science, or a related field from a recognized institution
- 5+ years of progressive corporate experience functioning as an IT Business Analyst/Functional Analyst
- CBAP certification or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated success with business requirements analysis, group facilitation, gap analysis and process mapping and design as part of a business transformation
- Experience in working in a formal systems development lifecycle methodology environment with artifacts such as functional and detail design documents, business use cases, and requirements traceability
- Demonstrated skill in building consensus among process stakeholders
- Exceptional communication skills and experience working with business experts at all levels and technical subject matter experts
- Experience working in client-based consulting role is highly desirable; project experience in data management, analytics, asset management, GIS, data center, AMI, ERP, CRM is highly desirable
- Experience in Public sector/Government is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform is considered an asset
