Job Summary
Business Analyst in the Financial Markets New Products squad responsible for onboarding new products to the central Finance environment and enhancing processing/reporting. Translate business needs into high-quality accounting and IT solutions, act as the Finance point of contact for end-to-end initiatives, and coordinate squad activities. Key duties include understanding product lifecycles, developing event-based accounting specifications for FM & GT products, translating requirements into Finance user requirements, performing data quality assessments, implementing controls, supporting migrations and testing, and collaborating with IT to implement designs. Requires a Master’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of financial-industry experience; SQL knowledge and familiarity with FMGT systems (e.g., Murex, Summit, Sophis, Calypso) are advantageous; strong communication and stakeholder-relations skills; opportunity for domain specialization or broader managerial growth.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting & Control, Business IT, Accountancy, or Economics
- 5+ years of experience in the financial industry with strong expertise in Financial Markets products and end-to-end banking processes
- Knowledge and experience with SQL
- Knowledge of FMGT Front Office and Back Office systems is a plus (e.g., Murex, Summit, Sophis, Calypso)
- Good communication skills and stakeholder-management abilities
- Ability to translate business requirements into Finance user requirements and functional designs
- Experience with end-to-end testing, migration testing, and creating test cases
