Job Summary
Lead business analysis for USCIS operations by analyzing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and facilitating stakeholder discussions to develop actionable solutions. Gather requirements, document specifications, and create process flow diagrams while supporting Agile sprint planning and backlog grooming. Conduct process reengineering, organizational impact assessments, and alternative analyses to translate complex technical concepts into business solutions. Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams, supporting technology assessments, user acceptance testing, and operational readiness activities. Requires 8+ years of experience supporting federal programs with a focus on immigration and DHS systems.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Public Trust Clearance
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a business analyst or subject matter expert (SME)
- At least 5 years of experience supporting federal programs in areas such as process optimization, requirements analysis, and system integration, with a focus on immigration
- 5 years of experience with immigration policy, including exposure to agencies and offices operating in the immigration ecosystem, and familiarity with DHS systems used for identity management and immigration status verification
- Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, and workflow optimization
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, testing, and system deployment
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business solutions
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or an equivalent certification
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field
