Job Summary
Business Analyst to support the Legal and Contracts team in a defense contracting environment. Responsibilities include tracking, monitoring, and maintaining compliance with SBA requirements, state registrations, and insurance analysis/negotiations; coordinating with legal, contracts, and operations; maintaining compliance dashboards and tracking tools; and continuously improving tracking systems and reporting. Preferred experience includes government contracting, familiarity with SBA programs (8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB), and exposure to corporate insurance processes. The role emphasizes analytical and organizational skills, ability to manage deadlines, and eagerness to learn regulatory frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated interest in compliance, contracts, government contracting, or regulated industries
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or other data tracking tools
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
- Eagerness to learn defense contracting, SBA requirements, and regulatory frameworks
