Job Summary
Two Business Administrators (Operations & Process; Maintenance Delivery) provide high-quality administrative support to IAWAI, enabling smooth operations and aligned delivery of services to the Hamilton and Waikato communities. You’ll support day-to-day business activities, help streamline processes, and contribute to coordination and organisation that underpin effective service delivery, with responsibilities spanning finance-related tasks, quality and improvement efforts, purchasing, and stakeholder communication. Te Tiriti o Waitangi considerations are integrated into the role, and there is a preference for experience in local government. Salary circa $75k depending on skills and experience. Shortlisting occurs as applications are received; interviews and checks follow for shortlisted candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Proven business administration skills
- 5+ years’ relevant business administration experience or similar, with emphasis on finance, quality, and improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in other software tools
- Self-awareness that mindset is the foundation of performance
- Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to operate independently, anticipate requirements, and monitor workload
- Ability to work with ambiguity
- Advanced written communication and presentations
- Financial and purchasing skills
- Recognition and implementation of te Tiriti o Waitangi in work at IAWAI
- Experience working in local government is preferred but not essential
