Job Summary
Repair damaged vehicle seats by removing and replacing moquette, measuring, cutting, sewing, and fitting replacement covers. Replace seat boards, foam, and head buffers, then inspect finished work for durability and presentation. Maintain stock levels of trim materials and order supplies as needed. Store tools and equipment safely while keeping the workshop clean and organized. Collaborate with engineering and workshop teams to minimize vehicle downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in upholstery repair & recovery, trimming, or a similar craft-based role
- Understanding of different trim, upholstery, and repair materials
- Experience using specialist upholstery tools, equipment, and needles safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Good understanding of safe working practices within a workshop environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
