Job Summary
Bus Seating Planner focused on locating benches and leaning bars for NYC DOT’s Universal Bus Stop Seating Initiative, serving as long-term manager of the Initiative, coordinating with multiple units, preparing seating installation site plans, analyzing bus stop conditions, managing budgets and grants, and providing technical guidance to junior staff; requires on-site work in all seasons, travel by bike, foot, and mass transit, and strong proficiency in MS Office, Access, and GIS/Adobe tools.
Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree in architecture from an accredited college and one (1) year of full-time experience in planning, design, research, investigations and/or studies related to urban design development programs; or Education and/or experience equivalent to the above, with a baccalaureate degree in architecture required for all candidates; Graduate work leading to an advanced degree in architecture, urban design or city planning may be substituted for the one year of experience described above.
