Job Summary
Operate school buses and other school transportation vehicles as provided by the West Virginia Board of Education. Responsibilities include遵守 safety protocols, complete required training, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain a valid CDL Class B with Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements, pass physicals and background checks, and adhere to DOT and drug/alcohol screening requirements. Employment spans 200 days with a competitive benefits package (PEIA, retirement, life insurance, and vision/dental coverage). Location is Winfield Area, WV; duties may vary by route and be determined by the Coordinator of Transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a high school diploma or GED or TASC
- Holds a Commercial Driver’s License, Class B, Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements
- Passes the required physical examination
- Has three years of experience as a licensed driver
- Passes the Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Check
- Passes the Drug/Alcohol Screening
- Completes 40 hours of required classroom training and 20 hours of behind the wheel training
- Holds First Aid/CPR Certification
- Holds a West Virginia School Bus Operator’s Certificate
- Length of Employment: 200 Days
