Job Summary
Bus Mechanic (4th Year Apprentice) in Whistler, BC for Keolis. You’ll diagnose and repair vehicles using diagnostic tools, perform routine and CVIP inspections, maintain service records and parts procurement, and support apprentice training. You’ll operate buses for testing, collaborate with technicians, management, and drivers, follow OH&S and inspection standards, and use diagnostic software (Cummins INSITE, Voith, WABCO, OEM programs) to identify faults. On-site road-call repairs and timely completion of work orders and maintenance reports are expected. 4th-year apprentice with 2+ years in a shop environment, valid Class 5 license, strong safety mindset, and readiness for background check and pre-employment screening. Bonus assets include CVIP license, air brake endorsement, experience with transit fleets, and prior WFA. Employed in a unionized setting with 12-hour rotating shifts, full-time hours, and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Registered 4th Year Apprentice (Automotive, Heavy Duty, or Commercial Transport)
- 2+ years of related experience
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license and no more than 3 demerit points on your record
- Strong analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
- Excellent Health & Safety Knowledge, particularly OH&S rules and regulations guidelines, with a keen eye for detail
- Background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening required
