Job Summary
Operate school bus and other vehicles to transport students; maintain established routes and schedules, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel, clean and report servicing requirements; establish positive rapport with passengers and enforce conduct standards; maintain complete and accurate records; may be full- or part-time; must have High school diploma or equivalent, five years driving experience, and valid WA licenses including School Bus Driver authorization and CDL; pass DOT medical and physical exams, First Aid, and related district requirements; adherence to safety policies and district regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years automotive driving experience
- Good driving record for past five (5) years
- Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License
- Obtain a Washington State School Bus Driver’s authorization prior to regular employment
- Obtain a Commercial Driver's License prior to regular employment
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Perform 40-pound minimum lift stress test
- Must be able to successfully pass the bus driver training course, including First Aid
- Ability to pass Department of Transportation physical
- Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations
