Job Summary
Safely operate a school bus on regular and special routes while following established schedules and conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety. Maintain order and student safety on the bus, building positive relationships with students and families while communicating effectively with school staff and parents. Report any incidents, concerns, or maintenance needs promptly and adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding school transportation. Serve as a first and last school staff member for students through May 30, 2027, supporting a welcoming and respectful environment within the United Community School District.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements (or willingness to obtain)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass required background checks and physical examinations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism
