Job Summary
Drives bus to transport passengers over specified routes according to time schedule. Drives passenger vehicles ranging from 9-65 passenger capacity, including pick-up and delivery of students with developmental disabilities to and from their homes/schools within Stark County. Ensures compliance with Ohio motor vehicle laws and board policies, reports delays/accidents, completes daily paperwork and incident documentation, conducts pre/post-trip safety inspections, maintains safety equipment and proper use of restraints (seatbelts, wheelchairs, car seats), maintains safe sanitary bus environment, attends trainings, and performs additional duties as assigned. Benefits include OPERS and paid sick time.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain a valid Ohio Commercial Driver’s License with School Bus Endorsement, and possess a driving abstract reflecting less than six (6) points.
- Must pursue and maintain CPR/First Aid certifications, and Crisis Prevention Training.
- Subject to random drug testing per the Department of Transportation requirements.
