Job Summary
Bus Driver for Sinceri Senior Living (Portland, ME) – Part-time role responsible for operating the facility vehicle to transport elderly residents to outings and appointments, ensuring resident safety, assisting with loading/unloading, and performing routine light maintenance and scheduling of repairs. Requires a current driver’s license (CDL may be required per state), ability to communicate with residents and staff, compassion for the elderly, reliable attendance, and health compliance. Must be at least 25 years old with 2+ years of related experience preferred; strong emphasis on safety, life-safety awareness, and customer service. Includes benefits such as 401K, PTO, and referral bonuses, with an employee-centric team environment. Location: Portland, ME (86 Holiday Drive, Portland, ME 04103). Scheduling involves local trips on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Must be at least 25 years of age
- Relevant work experience (2 plus years preferred)
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and general public
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
- Must have basic reporting and organizational skills, including good verbal and written skills
- Must be capable of maintaining attendance and be punctual
- Must meet all health requirements, if required by state regulations
- Current state driver’s license in good standing. A current CDL may be required depending on state regulations and size of bus
- Must provide a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) in good standing
- Essential Functions: Drive elderly residents on outings/appointments, load/unload, ensure safety, maintenance tasks, schedule repairs, be familiar with life safety systems
