Job Summary
Safely operate the Community bus/van to transport residents to scheduled appointments and outings, assisting passengers on and off the vehicle including operating the wheelchair lift as needed. Escort residents into and out of appointments while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor to support resident comfort. Maintain cleanliness of the bus interior and exterior, complete required forms for vehicle upkeep, and coordinate multiple daily transportation requests by planning efficient routes. Communicate clearly with residents and staff regarding schedules, follow all community transportation policies, and intentionally build relationships with each resident and their family to provide personalized service.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Must hold valid driver's license
- A minimum of 21 years of age preferred with driving record in good standing
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience driving a company vehicle for resident transportation activities is preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
