Bus Driver Part-time

Provide timely and safe transportation for residents to and from locations such as shopping, medical appointments, banks, and social events. Perform daily bus safety checks, ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition, and document any areas of concern or damage. Keep the vehicle’s safety kit stocked, ensure cell phone is charged, and Bluetooth is active in the vehicle. Maintain accurate safety check logs, uphold exceptional customer service with warmth and respect to residents, families, coworkers, and the public, and keep interior and exterior vehicle clean. Report mechanical problems in writing to the executive director and coordinate with the Life Enrichment Director on the success of outings. Role requires neat appearance, congeniality, initiative, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and ongoing training. Requires 7+ years of vehicle operation experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and ability to work all shifts; must pass drug screening and background/health checks; willingness to work with seniors, including those with Dementia/Alzheimer’s, and to communicate effectively in English.
